About UP Board –
Uttar Pradesh or U.P. Board is also known as Board of High School and Intermediate Education, Uttar Pradesh. The board was incorporated in the year 1921 and has since been conducting all the state level exams of the student studying under its jurisdiction. The board is headquartered in Allahabad. The State conducts secondary and senior secondary examinations that is 10th and 12th exams every year. The objectives of UP Board are to provide better education to the students. As per the statistics, the trend has been recorded that each year, the number of students appearing for the exams increases with increase in qualified students which surpasses previous year’s results. In the year 2015, out of the total candidates who appeared for the class X examinations, around 93.73% of students were qualified to go to senior secondary. As per expectations for this year results, out of the total students which appeared for the Class X examination this year which is around 5.5 Lakhs, about 95% of students are expected to qualify. Further, it has been noticed that each year, the number of girls passing the exams are higher than boys and hence, this year out of the total qualified students as per expectation, the percentage of girls qualifying is 94% compared to 93% of boys.
