SBI PO Exam Pattern 2017:

The State Bank of India earlier published an advertisement thereby declaring vacancies for the post of Probationary Officers. The SBI PO Exam Pattern will help candidates prepare well for their Preliminary Examination and Mains Examinations which are the stages of selection. The State Bank of India earlier issued an advertisement for the vacant post of Probationary Officers for which large number of people had already applied. Those who had applied are currently learning from different reference books in order to qualify the prelims and mains test. However, the questions are usually framed on the predefined syllabus which is provided below. The SBI PO Exam Pattern according to which the exams will be conducted is also given below.  Note that the applicants can download this notification in any format as per their requirements.

SBI PO Exam Pattern

SBI PO Prelims Exam Pattern 2017:

The first round that is SBI PO Prelims will be of 01 hour duration where 100 questions will be asked on MCQs type of questions that is one question and 4 suitable options to choose from. The Prelims Test is further bifurcated into sections such as Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, and Reasoning Ability. Note that a deduction of 1/4th exist for every wrong attempt whereas the applicants will receive +1 marks for every correct answer.

SBI PO Group Discussion and Interview:

As per the information available on the SBI PO selection procedure, the applicants who qualifies the Prelims as well as Mains Test are subjected to undergo Group Discussion and Interview where their performance and others skills are assessed and evaluated based on which the final merit list is created.

  • The Phase III that is G.D. and Interview consists of 50 marks whereas the former weights 20 marks and the later weights 30 marks.
  • The applicants who had qualified the previous written test will undergo Group Discussion where a topic is given to speak on amidst a group of other applicants from where the recruitment panel shortlists eligible ones.
  • The Interview will be conducted by the recruitment panel where the applicants will be interviewed and based on the performance in previous rounds and the scores obtained, the candidates will be selected.
  • The panel will convert all the marks obtained by the applicants on 100 marks and then those who scored among highest will be selected based on the number of seats available.

SBI PO Questions Paper Pattern:

It is always good to refer previous year’s question paper as one gets the idea on how the questions are framed and then he/she becomes comfortable with the questions asked. Further, they can refer n number of reference books, however, it is always logical to study smartly. The given syllabus i.e. paper pattern consists of subjects which are included in the upcoming Prelims and Mains written test and the given topics are the one from where questions are usually framed.
