The Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala conducts its schools and state level exams each year. The board conducted its first year that is +1 or 11th exams for the aspirants who will be promoted after successful completion and attempt of the +1 final exams. As per the Board, a large number of students came forward and attended the +1 Exams across various centres in the state. The Board of Higher Secondary Education conducted the DHSE Kerala First Year Exams in the month of March 2016 for which the aspirants were awaiting results. As per the statistics, there has been growth in the number of students appearing for the 10+2 Annual exams which has increased the number of qualified students as well. According to the data collected, there has been increase in the number of girls qualifying the exams and they have been eventually out beating number of boys qualifying the exams and hence, this year too the statistics states that the number of girls qualifying will be more than number of boys passing the exams.

The Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala came in being in the year 1990 and functions a central body of the state government working towards promoting all round development in Higher Secondary education in the state by incorporated adequate institutional network, appropriate philosophies, motivated and well qualified staff, effective administrative system in order to carry out the administrative and academic responsibilities of the state. About Kerala HSE Board:
The department of Higher Secondary Education in Kerala for 11th and 12th standards is handled by the Kerala Secondary Education Examination Board also known as KSHE. KSHE was established in the year 1990. There are number of private and government schools which are affiliated to the Kerala Board. The enrollments of students are extremely tremendous from the formation year. The main focus of the board is to provide better education for the students. Almost 3 to 5 lakhs students appear for the examination every year. It is found that the statistics of improvement in the education level among the students have been increased from the earlier days which can also been from the below table.

The above table clearly states that the numbers of students appearing for the examination have increased form the last 4 years. This increased in the rate of students is remarkable with their passing too. In 2016, it is marked that almost 5 lakhs students have appeared for the examination. Also it can be clearly seen form the statistics that the passing percentages of girls are more as compared to boys in every year. It is to be expected that the passing percentage of all students must be 96.75% for this year and the passing percentage of girls and boys are expected to be 97.63% and 95.5% respectively.
