The Board conducted 12th Class examination this year in the month of March 2016 across all three major disciplines that is Arts, Science, and Commerce. Instructions to check Karnataka 2nd PUC Results 2017
- All the candidates who appeared for the 12th or II PUC Exams were skeptical pertaining to their scores in the exams, however, the results have proven to be good for the major chunk of students. Follow the given instructions to check the results –
- The Candidate will have to check in at the official website of Karnataka Board with URL www.karresults.nic.in
- The URL will take you to the home page of the Board where you can select PUC Examination Results – 2016 which were declared on 25th May at 10.00.
- Then, the candidate will be asked to enter his/her registration Number and hence, when he/she enters the number then click on Submit Button.
- The results will be displayed
- The candidate can take printout of the Online score card for future use.
Karnataka Board or the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) undertakes instructions for all the schools and colleges affiliated to the Board. The Board has some elite institutions like Indian Institute of Science, National Institute of Technology, and National law School of India University. The Board undertakes PUC exams for all three major disciplines that are Arts, Science, and Commerce. Statistics So Far
Well, as per statistics are concerned, according to the data collected over the year, it has been seen that there has been an upward trend in the number of students appearing for the examination and passing out successfully. This year, it is expected that around 8 Lakh individuals appeared for the UC Examinations where the expected passing percentage is 70%. In 2015, around 6.10 Lakh pupil appeared for the exams last year of which only 3,69,474 pupils were able to pass the exams successfully and hence, this year too, the percentage ratio will be somewhat same, however, a little increase is expected. The number of girls passing the exams compared to boys has also followed a trend in all the states in India and hence the same is with Karnataka Board. According to the statistics, Last year, around 68.24% girls passed the exams compared to 53.09% boys which make a huge difference. The trend has been followed since few years and hence, this year the trend seems to outsmart the previous year’s records.
This year, around 6.10 Lakh students are expected to have appeared for the Second PUC Examinations of which 3.1 Lakh were boys and 4.96 Lakhs were girls. Around 4.96 Lakh students are expected to appear for the first time this year whereas 82,067 are repeaters.

About Karnataka Board:
The department of Pre-examination Board in Karnataka for 11th and 12th standards is handled by the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board also known as KSEEB. KSEEB was established in the year 1966. There are number of private and government schools which are affiliated to the Kerala Board. The enrollments of students are extremely tremendous from the formation year. The main focus of the board is to provide better education for the students. Almost 7 to 8 lakhs students appear for the examination every year. The above table clearly states that the numbers of students appearing for the examination have increased form the last 4 years. This increased in the rate of students is remarkable with their passing too. In 2016, it is marked that almost 5 lakhs students have appeared for the examination. Also it can be clearly seen form the statistics that the passing percentages of girls are more as compared to boys in every year. It is to be expected that the passing percentage of all students must be 93% for this year and the passing percentage of girls and boys are expected to be 91% and 90% respectively.
