DDMA Recruitment 2016 – Hiring one District Project Officer and one Project Coordinator posts
The Delhi state has been disaster prone. Over the years extensive damage has been caused to life and property due to these disasters and it has also affected economic development. To ensure that the detrimental effects of these disasters on the overall socio economic development is reduced. The disaster management plan that is sustainable over a long period of time.
Job Description :
The Delhi state has been prone to various manmade disasters and natural hazards . Even on a day to day basis Delhi has to face numerous possible hazards such as earthquakes, water logging, road accidents and biological and chemical hazards.
It’s peculiar that Delhi has faced problems in sustainable and comprehensive disaster management plan because there has always been a problem with the hierarchal system.
The framework that is required ought to have a structure that leads to unity in coordination and control. The system should have legal sanctity. The Delhi Disaster Management Authority was created on March 19,2008. The authority was constituted under the Chairmanship of Honorable Governor of Delhi. The aim of the said authority is to focus on training and development of capacity for better preparedness for and mitigation of disaster

The DDMA has asked eligible candidates to apply for the post of District Project Officer and Project Coordinator. The project will be allotted on a contract basis for a period of one year. The last date for the application is July 13 and the applications should be in a prescribed format.
District Project Officer:
Maximum age limit for the above post is 40 years.
Number of posts: 1
Remuneration: Rs 25,000 per month
Experience: Two years of experience in disaster management or any related field
Preference will be given to the applicant having highest qualifications.
No. of posts: 1
Maximum age limit for the above post is 32 years.
Experience: One year of experience in disaster management or any related field.
Preference will be given to the applicant having highest qualification in the above field.
Remuneration : Rs 20,000 per month
The candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in one of the following from a recognized institute:
- Social Work
- Disaster Management
- Town Planning
- Social Science
The candidates will be selected by a written test based on merit . Once the applicant’s clear the written test they will be required to appear for an interview . After the written test and interview are cleared the students will need to get their documents verified.
It’s only after the documents are verified will the applicant be given the job.
