B-Tech options in India: JEE and the big tests

A career in engineering is interesting and fun. It has always been one of the most coveted fields for Indian students and it is no wonder that India is home to some of the top engineering colleges in the world. Admission to the IITs takes a toll and is almost impossible for most. So today we will be discussing the admission procedure to some of the other top colleges.
NIITs and IIFTs are the most prestigious institutions behind the IITs and admission are done through JEE Main exams result. Application closes in January and JEE main 2018 admit card can be downloaded by the 2nd week of April. CBSE conducts the JEE main exams every year and consists of two papers. Paper 1 is for admissions to BE and B-Tech. Paper 2 is for admission to B-Arch. Aadhar card number is also required to fill in the application form.
Amity University is one of the other top universities where an aspiring engineer can apply to and the admission is done based on a computer-based test conducted by the University. Amity JEE is followed by a counselling session and then a Personal Interview. Admission to all 10 campuses will be based on the result of Amity JEE 2018 which will be conducted in April 2018. Amity University is currently the only not-for-profit University to get US regional accreditation and has been ranked amongst the top Universities in India.
JEE main 2017 saw 12 lakh candidates appearing for the competitive exam and the number is expected to rise for the JEE main 2018 exam. Ranks will be allotted on all India basis and State basis for admission to various other universities other than the NIITs and IIITs. The exam will be in an objective pattern with both offline and online exams available. The JEE main 2018 admit card should be handled carefully and admission to test will be denied in the absence of an admit card.
Amity University has been accredited with a NAAC-A certification and boasts of vast international collaborations. The board consists of leading members of the corporate world. There is only an option for online exam and a mandatory fee of rupees 1100 has to be paid for the application. Questions will be based on the CBSE syllabus in English, Physics, Chemistry and an option to choose between Mathematics and Biology. The Amity JEE 2018 will be conducted in 22 cities all over India and application forms will be available online.
The other top options are colleges like BITS Pilani, Manipal University and few others who have their own entrance tests and a lot of other colleges which accept JEE main results for B-Tech admissions.
