AICTE Scholarship 2017-2018:

Girls who are willing to pursue their studies, but could not due to financial issues can now rest their concerns with AICTE Scholarship. All India Council for Technical Education is aiding such girls and making their dream come true. Recently, a Saksham Scholarship Scheme (Degree/ Diploma) For Technical education and Pragati Scholarship Scheme for Girls (Degree/ Diploma) For Technical education and has been released. An online process for AICTE Application will begin soon. Till then candidates can learn more about the scholarship. AICTE Scholarship

AICTE Pragati Scholarship Eligibility Criteria:

Region All India
Gender Girls
Class/ Age First year undergraduate students
DETAILS Educational Qualification:

  • Students/girls who have taken admission in the first year of the academic year 2016-17.
  • AICTE Pragati Scholarship is applicable for Girls/students, studying in AICTE approved institutions courses/ programs of Undergraduate Degree level and Diploma and has taken admission through centralized admission process of State or Central Government.
  • Any student pursuing education from private institutions will not be eligible for Pragati Scholarship.
  • Only one girl one family will be offered the scholarship.
Family Income:
The family income for scholarship should be less than Rs. 8 lakhs per annum.
Married Girls-
In this case income of in-laws/parents whichever is higher

AICTE Saksham Scholarship Eligibility Criteria:

Region All India
Gender Girls
Class/ Age First year undergraduate students

Educational Qualification:

  • 50% are reserved for the candidates in diploma courses and the remaining 50% of the total scholarships are reserved for the degree courses
  • Girls with minimum 40% disability can avail AICTE Saksham Scholarship who are enrolled in the first year of their graduate program in the technical stream from AICTE approved institutions.
  • The scholarship will be allowed for only one girl per.
Family Income:

The family income for scholarship should be less than Rs. 8 lakhs per annum.

Married Girls-
For married girls income of parents/ in-laws whichever is higher

Number of Scholarships:

The students who will be selected for AICTE Scholarship Eligibility will receive a total amount of Rs. 4000/- per annum.

General Scholarships:

When we talk about the General Scholarships, it is given to the candidates for their higher education. With this scheme there are many programs such as The J.N. Tata Endowment Fund, Rotary Scholarship, State Scholarship foundation of Greece, American Alumni Association, RD Sethna Scholarship, Bal Shrinbai Lotus Trust and Seth Horusji Mody Trust, Currimiji Jiwanji Moriswala Charity Trust etc.

Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT):

The All India Council for Technical Education is providing AICTE Scholarship for post Graduate programmes like M.Tech/ M.E. / M.Pharma programmes. Candidates who have qualified in GATE / GPAT only can apply for this scheme. Students who will make it to this opportunity will get AICTE Scholarship for 2 year or up to completion of courses/ date of submission of thesis.

Sri Lanka Presidential Scholarships for PG Education:

The AICTE Scholarship scheme is also available for Foreign Students. Candidates who wish to opt for Post Graduate qualification such as Agriculture / Business Administration M.Sc. in Molecular Life Science / Environmental Management can be considered.

Process to Apply AICTE Scholarship:

  • Candidates need to visit the official website of the council
  • After reaching to the home page click on ‘students’ section available at top menu.
  • From the drop- down list you need to choose ‘Scholarship’ tab.
  • Click on a suitable link of the scheme you want to apply.
  • Go through the details and Fill an Online Application Form.
  • Upload all documents required.
  • Submit and take a hard copy of application form.

Documents to be attached:

Candidates must submit the scanned copies of the following documents in JPG/PDF/PNG format.

  • Signature in JPG/JPEG format with file size of < 50KB
  • Photograph in JPG/JPEG format with file size of < 200KB
  • Mark sheet of HSC/Class 12 Standard.
  • Scanned copy of Annual Family Income Certificate
  • Mark sheet of SSC/Class 10 Standard.
  • Admission letter issued by the Centralized Admission Authority to first year Degree/Diploma courses for the academic year 2016-17. (Compulsory)
  • Scanned Copy of the first page of Bank Pass Book(Only Saving Bank Account in Candidate name) clearly indicating the following:
  • Name and Address of the Bank
  • Name of Account holder (candidate) with Photograph
  • IFSC Code of the Bank
  • Photograph of the candidate at the appropriate place and signed by Bank Manager
  • Saving Bank Account Number of the account holder (candidate)
  • Aadhar Card
  • Declaration by Parents for Pragati Scheme
  • Certificate Issued by the Director/Principal/HOD
  • Attested Scanned copy of Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC)
