Required Qualification:

The aspirants enrolling for enlisted vacancies must have obtained engineering bachelors Degree under Central or State Legislature of India or through any Universities which as granted as Deemed University under UGC  act or from any education institutions under act of parliament or Diploma or degree from any recognized Foreign college / Institution or University.

Age Limit:

As per the latest notification released by the UPSC Recruitment 2016, the age limit for the positions listed above is between 21 to 35 years of age as on 01st January 2017. Selection Process:

Selection Process:

  • Selection process is through Examination and Interview, mode
  • That means there are mainly two chances for the applicants to assure their seats.

Overview:

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) invites application from interested candidates to fill up the 110 posts in Indian forest Service. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online for the same.

Vacancy Details:

UPSC IFS Recruitment 2016  invites application for 110 posts. The selected candidates will be recruited in the Indian forest Services.

Educational Qualification:

The candidate should be a graduate in any of the following subjects:

Age Limit:

The candidate should be in between the age group of 21 to 32 years as on 01.08.16. he must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1984 and not later than 1st August, 1995. There is age relaxation of five years for the SC/ST candidates and three years for the OBC candidates.

Selection Process:

The candidates who apply will have to appear for a preliminary exam; which will consist of two papers with objective type multiple choice questions. Candidates who qualify the preliminary examinations will have to appear for the main written exam, a personality test and interview. A merit list will be developed of the candidates who qualify the written test, on the basis of which they will be called for the personality test and interview. The candidates who qualify the personality test and interview will be selected for the various recruitments. The candidates will be allotted to different posts and services on the basis of the rank they obtain in the merit list prepared after the interview. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidate in the written exam and the interview.

The general category candidates can attempt the examinations six times; OBC and PWD candidates can attempt nine times and there is no restriction for the SC/St candidates.

Candidates please note that the candidates who will be finally selected for recruitment will have to undergo a training programme. The candidates can be posted anywhere in India and they have to be mentally prepared for it. Candidates who are unable to do will be disqualified for the recruitment.

  • One has to click on the “Online Application for Various Examinations of UPSC” link. Then he has to click on Part – I/ Part – II Registration”.
