Required Qualification:

 The qualifications required for different posts are different. The required qualifications for the applicants to apply for different posts at OIL are given below.

For Sr. Assistant-I, Steno-typist ‘Trainee’, grade-VII:

  • The applicant should be  graduate holder from a recognized university/ Institution in any discipline.
  • The applicant must possess an English shorthand degree with an average speed of 80 W.P.M and a minimum typing speed of 30 W.P.M.
  • The applicant must possess a 6 months diploma or Certificate in Computer operation.
  • The applicant must be completely conversant with MS Office, Excel, Spreadsheet and MS PowerPoint.
  • Candidates having an additional diploma in Secretarial Practice or Office Management from a recognized university or institution besides the qualifications mentioned above will be primarily preferred.

For Security officer (SO):

  • The applicant must have a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university/Institution.
  • The applicant must have an experience in defence or para military allied services at the rank of captain or Assistant Commandant or DSP or any other equivalent post.

For General Duty Medical Officer (GDMO):

  • For this post, the applicant must possess a MBBS degree.

For Superintendent-cum-Principal (Nursing School):

  • To apply for this post, the applicant must have a Masters’ degree in Nursing.

Age Limit:

The age limit of the applying candidates is different for different posts. Any relaxation in the upper age limit will be 3 years for the candidates belonging to the OBC category (non-creamy layer), 10 years for people belonging to the PwD category i.e. PwD-UR ; while 13 years for the candidates belonging to PwD-OBC-NCL category. These relaxations in age will be in accordance with the Government of India rules, along with the relaxation in age for the Ex- Serviceman.

Selection Process:

The selection process of candidates according to the posts is given below.

For Sr. Assistant-I, Steno-typist ‘Trainee’, grade-VII:

  • The applicants will have to undergo a written test of 2 hours duration and later a skill test of ‘qualifying nature’ only.
  • The applicants must secure a minimum of 50% marks in each of the above given tests.
  • The applicants will have to undergo a Pre- Medical Examination.

For Security officer (SO):

  • The shortlisted candidates from the total applicants will have to appear for Viva/ Voice for selection for the post

For General Duty Medical Officer (GDMO):

  • The applicants must first appear for a written test conducted by the Selection Panel of OIL.
  • The applicants qualifying the test will be conducted for group discussion.
  • The applicants qualifying in both the above given steps will be conducted for Viva/ Voice individually.

For Superintendent-cum-Principal (Nursing School):

  • The selection and screening of the applicants will be done on the basis of the details provided by the applicant about his/her qualifications, past work experiences and academic records.

Salary Structure:

For Sr. Assistant-I, Steno-typist ‘Trainee’, grade-VII:

The starting basic salary for the post will be Rs. 16,000/- per month. The pay scale of the applicant will be from Rs. 16,000 to Rs. 34,000. Besides this, other allowances will also be applicable as per company rules.

For Security officer (SO):

 The starting basic salary for the post is Rs. 24,900/-, with a pay scale of the applicant from Rs. 24,900 to Rs. 50,500 for one year. After completion of one year, the applicant will get total emoluments of minimum Rs. 50,000/- along with benefits like HRA, Leave encashment, etc.

For General Duty Medical Officer (GDMO):

 The starting basic salary for the post is Rs. 24,900/-, with a pay scale of the applicant from Rs. 24,900 to Rs. 50,500 for one year. After completion of one year, the applicant will get total emoluments of minimum Rs. 50,000/- along with benefits like HRA, Leave encashment, etc.

For Superintendent-cum-Principal (Nursing School):

The starting basic salary for the post is Rs. 24,900/-, with a pay scale of the applicant from Rs. 24,900 to Rs. 50,500 for one year. After completion of one year, the applicant will get total emoluments of minimum Rs. 50,000/- along with benefits like HRA, Leave encashment, etc.

Desirable qualification:  Working experience with computers and knowledge of other basic software skills are desirable.

SAS 12016 Senior assistant -1:

Desirable qualification:  Working experience with computers and knowledge of other basic software skills are desirable.

Age Limit:

The age limit set as on 16/04/2016, with an inclusive age relaxation as per government of India regulations.

  1. General  candidates:  Minimum of 18 years and a maximum of 40 years.
  2. Scheduled caste/scheduled tribe:  Minimum of 18 years and a maximum of 45 years.
  3. Other backward caste (non creamy layer):  Minimum of 18 years and a maximum of 43 years.
  4. Ex-serviceman:  Directives of government of India.

As per inclusive relaxation the persons with disabilities belonging to the scheduled caste and tribe shall not exceed the age of 56 on the crucial date set at 16/04/2016.

Selection Process:

JAC  12106 Junior assistant-1:  The selection process consists of a written test (stage I), upon securing a total of 50% would qualify for a computer operational skills test (stage II)of 50% qualifying marks.  A final merit list considering the marks obtained on the basis of written test would be notified and the selected candidates would be called for a personal interview to a panel.

SAC  12106 senior assistant-1:The selection process consists of a written test (stage I), upon securing a total of 50% would qualify for a computer operational skills test (stage II)of 50% qualifying marks.  A final merit list considering the marks obtained on the basis of written test would be notified and the selected candidates would be called for a personal interview to a panel.  The shorthand and computer operational skill test would be of qualifying nature and no weightage shall be given to the scores obtained.

Salary Structure:

For the post of JAC  12106 Junior assistant-1, a minimum basic pay during the training would be 12,000 rupees for a period of 1 year.

For the post of SAC  12106 senior assistant-1, a minimum basic pay during the training would be 15,000 rupees for a period of 1 year.

On successful completion of training, the individuals would be posted as grade V and grade VII respectively with applicable allowances as per government of India guidelines.
