MPPSC Syllabus 2016-2017: Preliminary/Main MPPSC Examinations For Government Employment

The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) recruits suitable candidates to vacant government positions based on competitive examinations. The written exams are qualifying in nature and they are conducted in two phases i.e. preliminary exam and the mains. The successful candidates who pass in the exams are invited for a personal interview by MPPSC for selection to the desired job position. MPPSC makes appointments on the basis of eligibility criteria, merit, and officially specified reservation categories as per Government norms. Both the preliminary and main exams have multiple papers with mandatory and optional subjects. The list of optional subjects for preliminary exams has been officially released as of now. Examination Pattern Of MPPSC Preliminary And Main Exams:

  • The preliminary exam will have multiple choice objective type questions with each correct answer receiving 1 mark.
  • The main written exam is followed by a personality test in the form of a personal interview which also carries marks.
  • The exam name, total number of papers, the total allotted marks for each mandatory and optional paper are tabulated below –
