JEE Advanced 2017 – Check Complete Details and Apply Online – April – May 2017

JEE Advanced 2017 is held for admissions into IITs for undergraduate Engineering Programmes. IIT JEE (Advanced) 2017 is going to be organized by IIT Madras. Interested candidates have to apply at the online portal starting April 2017. All the aspirants have to ensure eligibility, register online and make the payment of specified amount of fee. Candidates should have to appear and clear the JEE Main exam prior to JEE Advanced exam. Successful candidates are admitted into the prestigious IITs for Master and Bachelor programmes in Science, Technology, Pharmaceutics, Architecture, etc. JEE Apex Board recruits students in open and reservation categories without any scope for arbitration or modifications.  Foreign nationals and candidates from defence personnel families also receive appropriate reservations in IITs.

Required Qualification:

The above mentioned eligibility criteria are minimum and essential for qualification. Additional details are provided below –

  • IIT drop outs are not eligible for the exam.
  • Candidates whose 12th results were declared after June 2015 can apply.

Age Limit:

The age limits for eligibility to the JEE Advanced 2017 exam are listed below –

  • All applicants should be born on or after October 1,1992.
  • SC,ST,PWD Candidates receive 5 years relaxation in age limits i.e. DOB can be on or after Oct 1, 1987

Exam Pattern:

There are two mandatory question papers each of 2 hours duration. Each paper has 3 separate sections covering Physics, Math, and Chemistry. Objective Type Multiple Choice questions are asked to test comprehension, reasoning, and analytical skills. Question paper will be in English or Hindi and negative marking is applied.

JEE Main 2017 Participating Institutes:

The aspirants who succeed in JEE Main 2017 get admitted into IITs from the 7 zones. Candidates are instructed that all the programmes are not available in all IITs. The availability of programs starting 2017 will be announced during the seat allocation process.  Candidates will receive academic instruction in English for both the Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes. Other institutes including IISC, IISER, IIST,RGIPT, etc., have in the past admitted based on JEE Main scores. Candidates have to refer to these institutes for more information.

Courses Offered:

The following courses are offered at the IITs for candidates who succeed in JEE Advanced 2017 examinations –

  • B Tech, B Pharm, BS for 4 years.
  • Integrated Masters and Dual Degree for 5 years.
  • B Arch for 5  years requires additional Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) comprising of 3 hour test with only one paper.

How to Apply:

Candidates interested in participating in the JEE Advanced 2017 can apply using the following procedure –

  • Aspirants have to apply using only the online mode.
  • Candidates have to go through the detailed instructions updated on the online portal.
    • The necessary documents including 10th or DOB certificate , 12th certificate, caste credentials, etc.,
    • The eligibility criteria have to be satisfied by all the applicants.
    • Candidates have to register by providing details for exam centre, mobile number, language of test, etc.,
    • The scans of requisite documents have to be uploaded.
  • The non-refundable registration fee has to be paid without delay.
