About IBPS:

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts online IBPS exams for Probationary Officer (PO), Management Trainee, Specialist Officer, RRB Officer and Clerk posts for the recruitment in various participating banks. Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is an autonomous agency in India, which started its operation in 1975 as Personnel Selection Services (PSS). Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts Common Written Examination (CWE) for recruitment of Officers (Scale I, II & III) and Office Assistants (Multipurpose) in Regional Rural Banks (RRBs). IBPS CWE is now mandatory for anyone who seeks an employment in public sectors and Regional Rural banks. This system of Common Examination for recruitment of Officers and Office Assistants (Multipurpose) has been approved by the Government of India, notified by NABARD and has the mandate of each of the RRBs. Educational qualifications:

  1. Candidates must have Graduation Degree from any recognized University of State govt. or Central govt.
  2. Computer Knowledge
  • Candidates must have Knowledge of operating a computer must have Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language/ should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School /College/Institute.
  • Knowledge of Local Language.

Selection Procedure:

  1. Firstly, it is important to note that the final selection will be made on the basis of combined marks of candidates obtained in CWE PO V Mains and Interview.
  2. The CWE PO V Mains written test was of 200 marks whereas, the total marks allotted by IBPS for interview are 100. As per IBPS PO V official notification, the minimum qualifying marks in interview will not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates).
  3. For the Final selection, the weightage given to written and interview are in the ratio of 80:20 respectively.

  1.  A candidate is required to qualify both in the CWE Mains written test and interview.
  2.  She/he must be sufficiently high in the merit, for being eligible for provisional allotment process.
  3. Interview marks of those candidates who fail to secure the minimum qualifying marks or otherwise barred from the interview will not be disclosed.
