CBSE UGC NET Exam January 2017:

The CBSE UGC NET exams which is a abbreviation of National Eligibility Test is conducted by the concerned organization in order to to shortlist candidates with exceptional knowledge to hold positions such as Junior Research Fellowship, Lecturer, Assistant or Associate Professorship or Research Fellowship. The aspirants are required to attend the NET exams which is conducted each year. The UGC provides  scholarships for the aspirants  selected  for Junior Research Fellows. We have compiled information pertaining to  the CBSE UGC NET Exam which is given below. The CBSE or Central Board of Secondary Education has scheduled the NET 2017 Exams that will be held on 22nd January 2017 for Eligibility  for Assistant Professor and Junior Research  Fellowships. The entrance test will be conducted across various cities across India. The official website of CBSE is www.cbsenet.nic.in for more information. CBSE NET 2017 exams will be conducted in 3 sessions with the 2 sessions consisting of their selected subjects from the available subjects. The final selection will be made keeping the scores obtained in these 3 sessions after which the organization will release the results on its official website.  A total of 100 subjects are available to select from. The selected candidates will be awarded the post of JRF or Assistant Professor.

CBSE UGC NET Exam Eligibility:

The candidates  who want to appear for the CBSE UGC NET Exam 2017 are required to fulfil the eligibility criteria or prerequisites in order to be eligible. The candidates must have secured at least 55% in Post Graduation for General Category. The candidates under OBC/SC/ST/PWD category must have secured minimum 50% marks to be eligible. Applicants in the final year of Masters’ can also apply.  The aspirants must not be more than 28 years of age and that candidates under various reserved categories will be provided with relaxation in upper age limit by 5 years. The applicants with L.L.M Degree will be provided with 3 years as relaxation.

CBSE UGC NET Exam Syllabus:

The CBSE UGC NET Test follows a prescribed syllabus and exam pattern according to which the questions will be asked during the test.

Exam Pattern –

Session Paper Marks Number of Questions Duration
First I 100 60 questions 1 ½ Hours
Second II 100 50 questions 1 ¼ Hours
Third III 150 75 questions 2 ½ Hours

Paper  I – The Session will check the Research/Teaching aptitude of the candidates and the test of Comprehension, General Awareness, Divergent thinking, reasoning ability, etc.

Paper  II – The session will cover the concepts of the selected subjects.

Paper  III – This session includes subjects selected by the candidate.

CBSE UGC NET Exam Application Form:

The candidates gearing up to attend the NET Exams for the Eligibility of JRF and Asst. Professor will have to apply online by submitting the application form.

The candidates can follow the given instructions –

  • The candidates must   visit the official website of CBSE NET at www.cbsenet.nic.in.
  • Once the application form are made available on the website starting from 17th October 2016, aspirants will be able to apply online.
  • The applicants will have to register online on the website by feeding basic details on which they will be provided with provisional ID which is required to be used for logging in the account.
  • The aspirants must login to the account and fill the application form as instructed.
  • The candidates must upload the required documents and  scanned signature and passport sized photos on the application form.
  • The last step is to click on Submit for final submission.

CBSE NET 2017 Exam Admit Card:

The CBSE NET 2017 Admit Card will be made available on 21st December 2016 where the aspirants are required to download it as soon as possible.

Following are the steps to follow –

  • The candidates must click on the link Download Admit Card on the official website for which the link is given below.
  • The aspirants have to enter the ID or Application Number and DOB and other details to retrieve the Admit Card.
  • Take the printout of the same to be produced during the sessions.

Admit Card is an important documents and without which the aspirants will not be allowed to attend the test. The Admit Card provides details about the applicant’s, Registration Number, Category, Photo, Address, Schedule.
